Henan Provincial Government Hosts Major Seminar to Promote China-Thailand Economic and Trade Cooperation
BANGKOK On August 28, the Thai Chamber of Commerce in China, in collaboration with the Henan Provincial Government of the People's Republic of China, held a seminar titled "Promoting China (Henan)-Thailand Economic and Trade Cooperation" at the Conrad Bangkok Hotel. The event aimed to strengthen economic ties and unlock business opportunities between Thailand and Henan province.
The seminar was honored by the presence of a high-level delegation from Henan, led by Ms. Zhang Min, Vice Governor of Henan Province. Ms. Zhang Min traveled to Thailand specifically for this event to present the potential and investment opportunities in Henan, a significant economic hub in China.
Ms. Zhang Min stated that Henan is a large and historically rich province with a population of approximately 100 million people. It excels in various industries, particularly the service sector, cultural tourism, new energy, and automotive industries, which align with Thailand's economic development policies. Additionally, Henan is well-known for major annual events like the Peony Festival, which attracts tourists from around the world.
The seminar was well-attended by prominent figures from both the public and private sectors in Thailand. Notable attendees included Mr. Surinthorn Suthornsanan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) under Thailand's Ministry of Commerce; Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, founder and CEO of Amata Corporation; Mr. Nopudol Chiaravanont, Executive Director of the Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group); and Mr. Bhokin Bhalskula, former Minister of Commerce. The executive team from Tirada Management Co., Ltd., represented by Mr. Nutthanun Thanananthaphudit, also participated in the event.
It is anticipated that this event will serve as a starting point for building robust and sustainable economic cooperation between the two sides.
